HPC training series: CFD training*
In this course, the CATS, in cooperation with the Simulation and Data Lab for fluid of the NHR4CES, covers various techniques for solving flow problems using the finite element method. Topics related to numerical instabilities arising from the underlying formulation are presented. In addition, we will consider relevant stabilization techniques that are used to overcome such instabilities. The course consists of a combination of presentations and practical programming exercises in which the various methods are discussed and implemented within a simple finite element solver using Python
