HPC training series: CFD training
In this course, the CATS discusses different techniques for the solution of fluid flow problems using the Finite element method. Topics of numerical instabilities arising out of the underlying formulation, are presented. In addition, relevant stabilization are discussed techniques used to cope with such instability. The course consists of a combination of presentations and practical programming exercises, in which the different methods discussed and a basic Finite element solver with Python are implemented.
In the following weeks, further dates will be offered, based partly on each other
but can be visited independently from eachother, and to which you have to register individually.
